Kingmark carries a selection of the major currencies around the world and offers competitive rates on cash exchanges with no service fees or commission. Customers who wish to purchase or sell foreign currencies can visit one of our three convenient locations for fast, safe and reliable service. We accept cash or debit cards (issued by Canadian institutions only) for payments of foreign currency. When paying by debit card, please ensure you are aware of your daily withdrawal limit. Contact your financial institution to increase your daily limit, if necessary.

If you wish to purchase a large amount of a foreign currency, we advise you contact us for currency stock availability before coming to a branch.

For large amounts of a foreign currency or an exotic currency we may not have in stock, we have the option of placing special orders as per customer requests. A deposit equivalent to 10% of the purchase total will be required when you place your order. There are no other service fees and the exchange rate will be fixed to the date we ordered the currency. For exotic foreign currencies we do not carry, a minimum purchase amount of CAD$5,000 equivalent is required for special orders, in addition to a deposit of 10% of the purchase.

To comply with FINTRAC (Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center of Canada) regulations and our own company policies, we require all customers to present a valid, government-issued photo ID for any transaction equal to or over CAD$1,000. Transactions over CAD$3,000 will require additional information, per regulations and policies. Transactions over CAD$9,500 will require 2 pieces of valid IDs.

At Kingmark, we accept CAD bank drafts (issued by Canadian institutions) as payment for USD cheque transactions and for international wire transfers of most major currencies.

Bank drafts must be payable to ‘Kingmark (Canada) Currency Exchange Inc.’.

To purchase USD amounts over $10,000, you may call a branch to request a preferred spot rate. The rate can be secured over the phone for one hour, as rates are subject to change based on the market. In return, we will provide Kingmark’s USD company cheque payable to your preferred name or company, which can only be deposited to a USD account in a Canadian Bank. Clients may request for a certified cheque for an additional fee.
If you wish to sell USD amounts over $10,000, we accept USD personal certified cheques as well. In return, we will issue you Kingmark’s CAD company cheque to your preferred name or company.

Please be advised that one piece of valid government issued photo ID is required.

Kingmark offers an outgoing wire transfer service that is quick, convenient, and reliable with a flat service fee of only CAD $25.
Over the years, we have helped our clients send money to over 35 countries. We accept payment by cash, bank draft (in CAD only) or debit cards (from Canadian banks only). We can transfer most of the major currencies we carry to most major countries, given that Canada does not have an imposed sanction and/or related restrictions on the designated country. Whether you want to send money to pay for tuition, for family expenses or to pay bills, we can help you with your wire transfer needs.

The minimum transaction amounts for wire transfers are as followed:

• Outgoing USD: Minimum USD $1,000 (+ CAD $25 service charge)
• All USD/CAD outgoing remittances are processed on the same day, provided the payment is received before 12 pm on a business day.
• Outgoing all other currencies*: Minimum CAD $5,000 (+ CAD $25 service charge)
  

*For outgoing all other currencies, please visit our offices on weekdays. We currently only accept outgoing wire transfer transactions in USD on weekends.
