The exchange rate provided by the Bank of Canada is the interbank market rate and should be viewed for reference purposes only. Individual clients are not able to receive the interbank market rate for their personal/business transactions. Kingmark provides fair and competitive exchange rates by observing the fluctuating market and adjusting rates in real time.

Choosing Kingmark saves you money and time. At Kingmark, we have all major currencies in stock, and our rates are always better than the banks. There is no additional service charge or commission.

We accept cash and Canadian debit cards for all transactions. We also accept Canadian bank drafts issued from local banks in exchange for Kingmark’s USD company cheque or for international outgoing wire transfers.

We accept Canadian bank drafts as forms of payment for USD cheque transactions or for international wire transfers of most major currencies.

Bank drafts must be payable to ‘Kingmark (Canada) Currency Exchange Inc.’

For USD amounts over $10,000, you may call a branch to request a preferred rate and we can hold the rate for one hour. In return, we will provide Kingmark’s USD company cheque payable to your preferred name or company, which can only be deposited to a USD account in a Canadian Bank.

To comply with FINTRAC (Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center of Canada) regulations and our own company policies, we require all customers to present a valid, government-issued photo ID for any transaction equal to or over CAD$1,000. Transactions over CAD$3,000 will require additional information, per regulations and policies. Transactions over CAD$9,500 will require 2 pieces of valid IDs.

At Kingmark, all electronic wire transfers are conducted through our bank, Bank of Montreal. We offer competitive exchange rates and only charge a fixed service fee of CAD$25, regardless of the amount being wired. We can wire transfer funds for personal or business-related purposes.

Most banks will charge wire service fees based on the amount you send. The higher the total, the higher the service fees. The exchange rates offered by your bank are usually not as competitive as Kingmark’s exchange rates.

We can wire transfer most of the major currencies we carry, if the currency does not have international restrictions on them. Some of the most wired currencies are USD, HKD, EURO, JPY, AUD and GBP.

We can wire transfer to most countries, if Canada does not have an imposed sanction and/or related measures on the designated country.
